Nowadays, we stare at screens more than any other time in history. Have you ever thought about how much you might have missed already by being on your smartphone? There is no blaming for this because we are all in the same case but here with Ots, we are asking you to change the type of screens you are looking.
Ots uses old-fashioned projector screens collected in thrift shops to create his ‘Periaqueductal Gray’ series. He slices them into strips and stick them on a wood base. He mixes different periods and origins screens to create an atmosphere which takes you beyond time and borders. This uncommon material refers to the time before we knew how important screens would become in our lifestyle. Ots aims to bring people back together for a moment and stare at something different like it used to be.
